Robert Ris (1988) is an IM from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2014 he founded the Amsterdam Chess Academy. He has several written publications (Crucial Chess Skills for the Club Player Volume 1 is soon to be published!) and has recorded a number of well-received DVDs for ChessBase. He also often shows up as a commentator in the strongest Dutch tournaments like Tata Steel Chess, Hoogeveen & Dutch Championships. Besides that, he is the organizer of the Schaakweek Amstelveen which includes a lot of promotional events as well as the Dutch Rapid Championships.
