Having problems facing ‘solid Slav defense’? Welcome to ‘the Club’! You are just one of the many!

Looking for dynamic way to battle ‘solid Slav’ head on? Being happy to take space and not being afraid to sacrifice a pawn in the process?

Geller/Tolush gambit is something for you!

Geller/Tolush gambit was invented in late 1940es by famous Soviet players/theoreticians Efim Petrovich Geller and Alexander Kazimirovich Tolush. White takes space in the center, sacrifices a pawn in the process and aims to grab the initiative as quickly as possible.

Idea is fundamentally sound and many great players (Kasparov & Petrosian included!) championed this opening concept.

White however does sacrifice a pawn, does take risks and this concept is definitely not for a faint of heart!

In this 60 min DVD grandmaster Ivan Sokolov encourages White to follow on this aggressive concept and bring battle to Black from as early as move five!

Tactically gifted players will find a lot of interesting material, new opening ideas and get rewarded in the process.

Downloadable PGN file accompanies DVD.

Ivan Sokolov is renowned writer and former top player, having beaten no fewer that six World champions in a classical time control play.
