Description

In this video IM Robert Ris helps you surprise your opponent in one of Black’s most reliable systems against 1.d4. Based on his own analysis and experiences he shows how to catch Black off guard and pose him serious problems in this opening variation. With 6.Bxc4 gambit White sacrifices a pawn in order to gain the time for quick development and gets dangerous initiative. Initial pawn sacrifice usually doesn’t stop there as White normally continues ambitiously by investing more material! Rather than memorizing the concrete lines, the emphasis is on understanding the positional as well as tactical ideas. An excellent summary (in enclosed PGN) on the current state of this theoretically important opening line, while practical recommendations and improvements have been mentioned along the way as well.

Robert used at Dubai Open 2016 this dangerous weapon to beat top Ukrainian GM Yuri Kuzubov. In this video Robert shares his opening secrets to help you score important wins at some of your coming tournaments!
