An aggressive way for Black to meet The Four Knights
Many players of all levels have problems with the black pieces of how to meet 4.Bb5 in The Four Knights. 4…Bb4 leads to a slightly better game for White, while (sidelines) 4…Bc5 or 4…Bd6 do not equalize for Black either. Next to small advantage, White also does not take much of a risk. Ivan Sokolov battled with this problem (as Black) for decades (trying all the lines available), coming to the conclusion that 4…Nd4! is Black’s best. Complicated play often ensues, Black getting active dynamic play for his sacrificed pawn. A number of important novelties are uncorked in this video! Video is Black’s repertoire based!
